An open rhinoplasty calls for an incision under the nasal tip, between the nostrils, and lifting the skin to operate on the underlying nasal structure. This technique allows for better visibility and control over the procedure. The incision used in the open technique is placed in-between the nostrils.

Septoplasty

With this procedure the surgeon trims, replaces, and repositions the cartilage and bone inside your nose, working through incisions on the sides of your nose or between your nostrils. If the problem is a crooked nasal bones, cuts are made in the bones to reorient them. Sometimes, a small strips of cartilage is used to correct problems along the bridge of your nose.
